When Friend Rise up Against Friend!

Friend

I was reading this scripture passage from Psalms 41:9 this morning. This verse just stuck out to me as never before. It reminded me of Jesus and Judas, the one who clearly betrayed Jesus, who supped with the Lord at His table. Jesus knew the thoughts and intents of his heart, for the Lord knows what is in the heart of all men and women. Judas supped with Jesus, he was right there with the other disciples, why such betrayal? Do we know why? The Bible tells us such.

Even my close friend in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted his heel against me. Psalm 41:9

As I pondered on the verse, It remind me of how the Lord reveals to us, His children, when we wholeheartedly seek His face for guidance, for His truth in all matters, all areas of our lives. Including when we pray about people we fellowship with or are in our paths. We ponder, Lord are they for the good or are they for the evil? Is it to my hurt Lord Jesus or for my good? Sometimes dreams given by the Lord reveal what the plans and the intents of the enemy are. Cautions and Warnings, for the Lord, guards our back. Yes, He most assuredly does. In Ephesians 6:12 the word says this to you and I:

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

I was reminded of something Jesus spoke to one of his disciples in Matthew 16:17

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. Matthew 16:17

This still holds ever true today for you and me and all who seek the Lord with all of their hearts, with all of their soul, and with all of their mind. The Lord still speaks to His children today. When we seek His face, He will not give us a stone, but He gives us bread…He supplies our every need, and we lack for no good thing. Sometimes people take from us and not with good intentions, sad but it is true. We are to give. However, there comes a time when the Lord is telling us, enough is enough, then we need to obey the Lord and turn away from those who despitefully use us or who have clearly wrong intentions.

Pray for them, and love them, but when the Lord gives us discernment, a dream, a vision concerning people in our lives or even a red flag comes up in our belly, we should pay attention. It was ordained for Judas to betray Jesus. It was allowed so that all prophesy would be fulfilled. We know this is a fact, however, not every person that comes along is sent by the Lord but by the deceiver, himself but what was meant for evil, I tell ya the Lord will turn for our good!!!!

Thought for the Day

This is my prayer for us today and for those who seek the Lord diligently in all matters of life… Dear Lord Jesus, teach us to number our days Lord, that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalms 90:12 Not from a natural man but from the wisdom that comes from above… In Jesus’ Precious and HOLY NAME, AMEN.
