Removing The Head of Pride

October 25, 2010| sheepkinz2

I’ve  been thinking a lot lately about the words, LOWLY and MEEK.  I was given a dream several weeks ago. I was bent down in the dream, when the shadow of man walked up to me and said that we were going to meet face to face. I knew it was the Lord, Jesus. He asked me when, and in the dream I asked, “How about on the third day?” At first I didn’t understand, because I thought I was bent down working.

The Lord revealed to me that we all shall be bowed low before Him and in His presence. I was thinking how meek and lowly Jesus was spoken of throughout the Bible. Meek and lowly has just really been upon my heart lately and I’ve been pondering the words. Pride is an ugly thing and the enemy loves pride, he is the head of all pride,  and  the spirit that raises it’s ugly head and exalts himself. None of us is exempt from opening the door to pride, it is something we should ask and truly seek the Lord about, concerning ourselves. If their is any pride Lord, remove it far from us Lord God. Let it not be found within our being.

A man’s pride brings him low,  but a man of lowly spirit gains honor.  Proverbs 29:23

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. Matthew 23:12

Have you ever met people that think or believe they have obtained or are an elite, and instead of fellowship, they talked down to people? We are to walk in humbleness and humility before the Lord. Should we not also walk in this manner before all people, just as Christ our Example did?

It is written:  ” ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,  ‘every knee will bow before me;  every tongue will confess to God.  Romans 14:11

Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”  1 Corinthians 1:26-31

Thought For The Day

Have you been feeling the weight of pride on your life?  Do you look down on others, even if it is only in your mind? The Lord is calling you to have a humble heart before your fellowmen and ultimately, before Him.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 1 John 2:10

“If a man say he love God and hateth his brother, he is a liar, for he who hath not love his brother who he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” 1 John 4:20

Pride is one of those sins that can sneak upon you. Its good to be mindful of it and treat it like we should. It was pride that caused lucifer to turn against God and deceive 1/3 of the angels in heaven. Now it’s pride that keeps him going, he knows he will not win and that his time is short, but he must continue to deceive us.
