Morning Praise

September 22, 2010| 001FJ

Morning PraiseI am so happy to be a Christian; I would’ve rather not have been created, than live life without my heavenly Father. I love to praise Him. I love to sing to Him…my favorite song to sing to Him is “How Great is Our God”, and that’s for the simple reason: it is the only song I can sing without butchering very badly! LOL!

I am not writing this because of my easy life, actually this morning I cried my heart out and I didn’t even find a taste in my breakfast because my heart was crying inside that I could not feel anything on the outside. But we can either choose to draw closer to Him through those extremely troubling and painful times, or we can choose to drift away from Him. The Bible mentions many names, more than anyone can remember, but only few names stand out from the rest; those are the people we look up to as spiritual examples. So let’s be one of those few names.

Morning Praise by Fadi

But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defense, and the God of my mercy. Psalm 59:16-17

I just want to say one more thing: if you have not read the Bible, and don’t read it regularly–I don’t care what church you go to, how much you pray or praise Him, how much you give to the poor and God’s work and how much you talk to Him, I don’t care how many sermons you listen to or Christian books you read—you don’t know God. God is a Spirit and we do not see Him physically like we see each other, and so, the only way we can get to know Him is by knowing His character: how He thinks, works, operates in people’s lives, what He likes and what He doesn’t like, how He responds to circumstances we are facing, etc. In other words, we cannot know God without knowing how He acts, and nobody can explain to you God’s works accurately except the Bible.

You can actually divide believers in two groups: those who read the Bible and those who don’t!

Thought for the Day

If you want to know your Father in heaven more intimately, read His love letter to you, spend quality time in His Word. The Holy Bible is profitable for your Christian walk and it will make you stronger in every area of your life. Set apart some time in the morning, when your mind is fresh, to study His Word and lift Him up in Praise!

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16

Another Amen! thanks for the reminder to stay in the Word in order to know God, really love to read the Bible and find out so much interesting nuggets of truths, especially when I feel like I am getting down, the Word just reminds me that God is on my side and that is so comforting 🙂
