Drunkard Inspirational Art: This artwork should be self explanatory – at least, if you’re not drunk. If you are drunk, you will not be able to read it anyways. So, what’s my point? A drunkard must come to some clearness of mind, so that right choices can be made to quit the habit. Some folks can do it through family/friend interventions, others by just, one day coming to their senses and others, they need a supernatural intervention. Either way, the drunkard needs our prayer and patience, and at other times, even our forgiveness.
Drunkards also need the Word of God which is like a two edged sword. Why would someone destroy their insides with a poison that brings pain, disaster, false joy and false hope?
God need us to always be clear headed so that He can do his work through us. The next side of this equation is that Satan need us to be unfocused to do his work through us. Many demonic possession has taken place in the rum bars/clubs. When the mind is weaken by the “spirit” – the demons come and take over. Say it ain’t so!
Now, now, I know many will ask, didn’t Jesus drink? Yes, He did, but in most likelihood it was always of the good wine (unfermented grape juice) and there are no records of Him getting drunk or ever will there be. So no more of this “Jesus Juice” thing – that’s just pagan in it’s origins and a false representation of the last supper which we still take part in as Christians to remember our Lord.
“But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.” 1 Corinthians 5:11
The Bible does not contradict itself, ever. If Jesus was going around getting drunk – He could not have had the twelve disciples or the Last Supper, Why? because, He would go against His own Word – do not keep company with a drunkard – not even to eat with such a person, if he/she is a follower of Christ (brother)Â Harsh words but, it’s the Word.
So, are we followers of Christ or what? Hopefully not “WHAT”.
