Check Your Direction

Check Your DirectionRoad trip! Map, cellular telephone, written directions, friends to take turns driving and a tank full of gasoline. You prepared for the journey and went your way knowing that you would reach your destination. On the way everything was fine, until you took that wrong turn. You then had to adjust your plans and make every effort to get back on the right route to your destination. Have you ever been in that position or heard of a similar situation?

When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and commiteth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. ~ Ezekiel 33:10 He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness ~ Psalm 23:3b

Your Christian walk is similar to that journey, in that, you cannot afford to make the wrong turn. The word of the Lord clearly outlines the Path to Salvation. We are even warned not to make wrong turns. As a servant of God each of us has a responsibility to honor God and stay on the path of righteousness. The Lord has placed us on a path to eternity, if we leave it and take part in iniquity we will die.

Today we are challenged to look at the path we are on and to make sure that it is the path of righteousness. If you know anyone who is contemplating the path of iniquity warn them that if they choose to go down this road they will surely die. If you know anyone who has turned away from doing what is right before God, help them to see that they are going the wrong way. Help them to come back to Christ. You may help save a soul.

May the Lord bless you and keep you on the path of righteousness.

Suggested Prayer: Lord, thank you for the guidance you have given me and for leading me in the paths of righteousness. Please give me the strength to stay on this path and help me to tell others of your love so that they too can be led by you.
